Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and honour at NTPC Khargone. On this auspicious occasion, Shri Subhasis Bose, BUH, Khargone unfurled the National Flag at Shaurya Kridangan on township premises. Before that, the National Flag was hoisted at the Service Building as well.
Live National Anthem was performed by the students of Bal Bhawan. Shri Subhasis Bose addressed the gathering about the significance of Republic Day besides highlighting the glorious history of NTPC and its contribution towards the development of the country. He emphasised on the success story of various initiatives and the achievements of Khargone project during the year. 
After inspection of all the parade contingents of CISF, Fire Wing, DGR and BBPS School by BUH Khargone, tri-colour balloons were released high up in the air by all Senior Executives, Ahilya Mahila Mandal members, Executive Association and Union.
Subsequently, grand cultural programs were showcased by Nanhe Kadam, Ahilya Mahila Mandal, Bal Bhawan, BBPS and CISF family members. The highlight of the cultural program was the showcasing of dance performances by the girls’ group of Khedi village.
Thereafter, BUH Meritorious Awards were presented deserving employees followed by several other awards to the participants of today’s ceremony and remarkable contributors and many more. The Republic Day celebrations concluded with a winter flower exhibition at joggers park, showcasing various flowering plants grown at Khargone STPS.
